My sister found a deer skull with antlers still on it in a forestry near my dad's house. She also found its ribs.      E O' M

Hunters shoot deer near my house so my dogs came back from walks with various parts of deer. H N

Yesterday we installed baskets for under our desks. In one way they are good because they keep our desks clean but bare. They are also very awkward. L B

Today when I woke up I heard something against the window and saw a bird. He went into the bathroom and then he flew out and then I had to catch him and put him out the window. G H

In my new house they have started to build a roof. A M

My uncle lives in China. The government in China block facebook and youtube so nobody in China can go on those websites because the government is scared that people will write bad things about them. E O' M

Wikipedia is globally shut down in protest. They are protesting against S.O.P.A. and P.I.P.A.. They are re-opening tomorrow at 5am. H N

The panda in Edinburg was sick but he is better now. T A

My mums boyfriend found an old coin from 1864 with Queen Victoria on one side and Britannia on the other side. T A

The captain of the ship that tipped over in Italy has been questioned about the accident. He has been under house arrest also. A N

I have started learning about html and css. It is coding for website design. OK

Monday January 16th 2012

On Saturday I went to the cinema and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks, it was excellent.We walked past a hairdressers and there were ambulances because a woman had had a heart attack. L B

Yesterday my dog went out the door and ran on the road chasing a bird and there was a traffic jam, but I caught him. G H

A cruise ship sank off the coast of Italy killing six people so far. C K

Scariff under 13 rugby team  drew with Kilrush. P L

Yesterday I cooked dinner for my mom, my sister and my moms boyfriend. I cooked tomato soup and rolls and fajitas and a big chocolate cake. It was really nice. S W

Yesterday on the voice of Ireland there was this guy from Limerick who got all four judges to turn around. I was at a panto and he was in it. M O' R

On Saturday 14th January 2012 I went riding.As we were going around my trainer sometimes finds stones in the arena and throws them out. As she was throwing two out my pony threw up his head when she threw out the first one. When she threw out the second one he bolted for about two steps and then threw down his head. I fell off and landed on my two feet. My trainer said that it was very graceful. C G

I went to the Mountshannon playground. It was such fun, my favourite thing was the climbing frame. A M

My Uncle Noel is half Viking because the Irish name for Broderick is Brudar and Brudar was the Viking who killed the High King of Ireland, Brian Boru on 23^rd April, 1014 in Clontarf. F.H.

The Northern lights can be visible in the northern sky 'till March. Last night I saw them faintly. E.O’M.

I got a new phone yesterday. It was black, small and light. I really like it. A.M.

Diesel is getting dearer than petrol because diesel is getting scarce. A.M.

I started badminton yesterday, it’s on from 6.30pm 0 7.30pm in the Mountshannon hall. MO’R.

Today when I went to feed my chickens one of them flew into the wall He is still alright. D.S.

They say the 13^th January is a day of bad luck! So the 3^rd of January was bad luck for me, first I opened a cupboard and a glass fell out, then my brother opened it and a plate fell out. A.N.

On Saturday 7^th January 2012 on top of our normal horse-riding session we had a vaulting session. It is when you do gymnastics on a very large horse. We did it because there is a vaulting competition coming up and there is also a inter-dressage coming up as well in February. C.G.

Scariff U13 R.F.C lost to Presentation Limerick 10-19. It was in the league, I was playing front row prop tight head and came off after the first half. P.L.

The Voice of Ireland started on RTE on Sunday. There are four judges, Kian, Sharon, Bressie and Brian. The auditions were blind. M.O'R.

Monday 9th January 2012

In the harbour the water is covering 3 of the piers. It is so cool. I saw that the 4^th pier is almost covered. This happened because so much rain has fallen recently. A.M.

My Dog Skyler has gone missing. We have been looking for him but we can't find him. He is a black Labrador, full breed. He is 3 years old and he is wearing no collar because it broke off. A.M.

In November I did an interdressage test, I came in 8^th place and I got a ribbon. The pony I rode in the test was called Woody. I got a certificate and my test results as well as everyone else. C.G.

My facebook got hacked and they sent my friends bad messages about me. P.L.

Some people from Whitegate and Mountshannon went on the wren on the 26^th December. We went to 14 different pubs. F.H.

I got a Jedward ticket, my sister, my Mum, my friend & my friend's Mum are going in the mid term. I can's wait! S.W.

I went to Cork and went skating, I was the best skater there. I stayed for three & a half hours, it was really fun. D.V.

About a week & a half ago my dog got an infection in his eyes. The Vet said it was from  running into bushes. He is better now. A.N.
