The Presidential Election is on today.

Yesterday in badminton we had two experts training us because we might be taking part in tournaments this year.

We have a substitute teacher today.

On Monday it is Halloween. Tomorrow Friday we get our holidays.

We have an under 13 final in hurling on Saturday.

Tomorrow we are raising money for Temple Street Childrens Hospital. We are dressing up in our Halloween  costumes and bringing in a little donation to help them. A N

In Bangkok 480,000 olympic swimming pools full of water is expected to hit the city and all the residents in the low lying areas have been evacuated.

Mountshannon is out of water. Due to the county council fixing some pipes the water is gone temporarily.        E O' M

Shamrock Rovers beat UCD in the league of Ireland. The score was 2-1. Rovers are the champions. J C

I am taking part in a Feile in Speech and Drama. I am doing a poem called "The Flamingo" and my drama is called "Tomboy". I am looking forward to it a lot. It is on January 19th to 22nd 2012.  A N

There was a Presidential TV debate on Monday. Its the last one , voting is on Thursday. J C

Yesterday 4th, 5th and  6th class went to Scariff library to see the author Judi Curtin. She told us about herself and showed us her books. L B

Im starting flute lessons on Tuesday. R K

I got attacked by my cat Mimi. She scratched my arm and it really hurts. E O' M

There is huge flooding in parts of Dublin. O K

We are going to a fishing competition on Sunday October 30th with the Mountshannon angling club.We are fishing for pike. The biggest pike wins. There will be prizes given out in Keanes Bar and  Lounge. J A

Monday 24th October 2011

The last few days its been raining so bad that in Woodpark the rivers have got so big. Even the little streams have got big. I think we deserve some good weather now, A M

New Zeland won agasinst France in the Rugby World Cup final. The score was 8-7. P L

Crusheen beat Sixmilebridge in the Clare senior hurling final. J C

In Libya, they put Colonel Gaddafi in a big fridge. R K

Yesterday I was going to Galvins in Mountshannon and it was closed. It was very wet and I had to run home and there were floods on the road and a car came over the puddle and splashed the puddle all over me and I was soaking. G H

I went to a party on Sunday and I met the cutest chihauhau puppy. R K

There was an earthquake in Turkey yesterday. It measured 7.2 on the richter scale. More than two hundred people have died E O' M

There is a flood on the way out of Scariff. My mum drove through it and then this morning the handbrake would not work. S W

Katie Taylor won the European Womens  Boxing for five years in a row yesterday. F H

Tommy Walsh of Kilkenny got his ninth  hurling all star in a row.J C

In the Xfactor last night Sammy and Kitty were in the bottom two but Sammy is gone. M O' R

In China, a two year old girl wandered out on the street and got run over by a truck. They just kept going and then another car ran over her and just kept going and then a bike swerved out of the way and loads of people walked down the street. But then a woman cleaning the street picked her up. She had got severe brain damage and unfortunately died as a result. C G

On Saturday I went to Galway with Jessica, Tania and Shannon for my birthday. We went to Salthill leisure centre. We went down a 65 metre slide and there was a bouncy castle and an  obstacle course there. It was fun C K

Friday 21st October 2011

Yesterday the rebels in Libya shot down Colonel Gaddafi and then dragged his dead body around the streets. C G

Since Colonel Gadiffi was shot dead the rebels will most likely fight each other for the power of the government. There will be more life lost if there is no fair voting put forward, so Colonel Gaddafi is only the beginning of a civil war. T A

We got a new tissue dispenser for the school. You have to wave your hand at a scanner and a piece of tissue comes out. M O' R

Westlife- the band- are breaking up after fourteen years together. L B
Yesterday I was so cold when I woke up, I had to take out my gloves, hat and scarf for the first time in seven months.When I got outside I was nice and warm. A N
Badminton is on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the Mountshannon hall. On Wednesdays it starts at half six and finishes at half seven. F H

I went to a station which is a mass in a house. It was on in Ballinakill. It was on at quarter to nine and all the neighbours were at it and family as well. J C

Monday 17th September 2011

Whitegate beat Killaloe in an u13 D competition in hurling. It took place in Killaloe on Sunday. JC

I know the date of my grading in Tao-kwon-do. I am grading  for my red belt and hope that I pass my test on November 27th. AN

I went horse riding last Saturday.One of the people there baked delicious choclate chip buns. They were still warm from the oven and they were lovely and crispy and chewy. I was riring a horse called Robin. She is a beautiful chestnut with a blaze on her face. I had a great time. CG

There was a Feile on yesterday in St Annes Community College in Killaloe. Jessica, Anna and I went and did Irish Dancing. Preformances also included ballet, orchestra and a short play. HN

I went to see the Russian ballet on Friday. It was called "The Nutcracker" and it was at Limerick University. It was brilliant. RK

"Nu Vibe" got knocked out of the x-factor last Friday night. AS

In an u13 rugby match  Scariff played Newcastlewest. The final score was 12-12. After the first half Scariff were winning 12-0 but in the second half Newcastlewest caught up. PL

I went to Limerick yesterday. I got new lego. TB
